I had Mogami Gold cables like you in 2019 but replaced them a few months later with the yellow Sommer Cable Epilogue cables made in Germany and never looked back since, if you change your cables that's what I would recommend, they're worth the price and you shouldn't regret the upgrade. They exist both in XLR, RCA, etc. If you want to go even further look for the authentic Furutech cables made in Japan (beware of counterfeits). The only serious upgrade from that would be handmade artisan audiophile cables with active shielding like the WhyNot cables handmade in France, I have one for my power cord and it's amazing but they're thicker and much less flexible than regular cables so I didn't buy the RCA and XLR ones and keep using the Sommer Cable Epilogue ones for that because in my setup I need to twist them a lot.

You can change controller layout. Personally, I find platforming more intuitive with "roll" placed on the Right Shoulder button. It makes running and jumping a breeze. I also think combat becomes more intuitive when your attack options are on the face buttons Zelda style.

Elden Ring is definitely the culmination of everything FromSoft has learned over 15 years of making Souls games. I've said it before and I'll say it again: this game has permanently raised my personal bar for how good a game can be while also having an unbelievable amount of content. I remember getting to Altus Plateau for the first time and thinking "there's more?! HOW IS THERE MORE," and that's even before they decided to make the DLC big enough to be its own game. I've seen people complain about asset reuse in Nightreign but honestly for how good the cost-to-content ratio of Elden Ring, is I think FromSoft has more than earned the right to make a remixed multiplayer-focused spinoff to recoup some more funding.
