Citadel paint is expensive for sure, however it is by no means bad paint; the base paints get very good coverage and they do have a wide selection that is with what GW boxes will tell you. There are spreadsheets and websites out there for other brands of paint like Army Painter of Vallejo where you can check what "White Scars Citadel Paint" equates to in their respective paint lines.
