Yeah, don't try to be a completionist with these games. Do what you want in them. Feel like doing Majima's cabaret but not Kiryu's real estate? - Go for it. Feel like doing whatever substories you happen to stumble upon, but don't feel like searching for them? It's all good. Going for what interests you, and keeping whatever main/side content ratio makes sense for you is the correct way to play these games
