that's one of the prominent lore theories, actually. Mausoleums contain dead nobles(rejected Marika's children) awaiting resurrection. The "barnacles" you break off are skulls or basically "death growths". Basically, mausoleums are walking to shake off death and when you break it off of them they "feel comfortable" and sit down.

I only had Rollercoaster Tycoon (maybe even just the demo), not Zoo Tycoon, so I'm only familiar with using rollercoasters as ramps to send people flying 500 meters away, and have never seen the guests being fed to a T-Rex, so it will be interesting to see that :p One thing I learned about Rollercoaster Tycoon is that it was given away for free inside some cereal boxes, and apparently they did that for Zoo Tycoon 2 and Age of Empires too, which is crazy to think about. Better value than Steam sales and it was 25 years ago in physical form.
It's really cool to hear you start to change your mind about Souls games! They've always been more of a world to explore than a Boss Rush game to me, much like Skyrim!

Having a sensitive skin allergic to almost everything (especially industrial products and artificial substances) is normal with your ancestry and DNA, the good side is that you are like a detector that can spot and reject unnatural and harmful things easily. Pimples are not dramatic and personally I even prefer when women don't wear makeup for example, but if you really want to apply something to your skin I'd look for what Finnish, Scandinavian and British women use and that is known to work for them (possibly small local brands or grandma recipes) to have something more tailored to your needs rather than an universal Reddit solution like Le Roach Poser or Hobo Oil.

The translation isn't really that far off, it's mostly just the implied subject being unclear and misleading which is pretty common when translating from Japanese. The way Ranni talks definitely doesn't help. The game was intended to be in English, but it's still made in Japan by Japanese people. I don't know if Fromsoft ever specifically confirmed it, but I doubt it. They like to let people come up with their own interpretation of their games, regardless if it's correct or not.
It makes a noise when the enemy is "staggered". Like the orange glow on bosses. Even though we can't see the orange glow, the stagger sound means you can get a critical hit there. :)
You have way too much stamina for a caster, your hp bar should be how much mana you have, your mana should be stamina and your stamina bar should be the lenght of your hp bar. The Hyperbeam is very mana inefficient when you dont hold down the button so you need alot of mana to use it. Also if you upgrade spirits they need way more mana to be summoned, you may reach a point where you dont even have enough max mana to summon a strong version of the fish anymore.

I had Mogami Gold cables like you in 2019 but replaced them a few months later with the yellow Sommer Cable Epilogue cables made in Germany and never looked back since, if you change your cables that's what I would recommend, they're worth the price and you shouldn't regret the upgrade. They exist both in XLR, RCA, etc. If you want to go even further look for the authentic Furutech cables made in Japan (beware of counterfeits). The only serious upgrade from that would be handmade artisan audiophile cables with active shielding like the WhyNot cables handmade in France, I have one for my power cord and it's amazing but they're thicker and much less flexible than regular cables so I didn't buy the RCA and XLR ones and keep using the Sommer Cable Epilogue ones for that because in my setup I need to twist them a lot.

You can change controller layout. Personally, I find platforming more intuitive with "roll" placed on the Right Shoulder button. It makes running and jumping a breeze. I also think combat becomes more intuitive when your attack options are on the face buttons Zelda style.

Elden Ring is definitely the culmination of everything FromSoft has learned over 15 years of making Souls games. I've said it before and I'll say it again: this game has permanently raised my personal bar for how good a game can be while also having an unbelievable amount of content. I remember getting to Altus Plateau for the first time and thinking "there's more?! HOW IS THERE MORE," and that's even before they decided to make the DLC big enough to be its own game. I've seen people complain about asset reuse in Nightreign but honestly for how good the cost-to-content ratio of Elden Ring, is I think FromSoft has more than earned the right to make a remixed multiplayer-focused spinoff to recoup some more funding.
