little late but i would recommend against reading a little life, its set in the backdrop oof maybe the 1950s to 2010s but avoids any of the big tragedys that affected gay men of the era aids especially, and it seems downright farcical that a bunch if gay men would not speak about aids in the 80s expecially in new york. This goes without mentioning how the book seems to take pleasure in the pain of the mc to a ridiculous point like how much bad luck can one man have.（02:13:18 - 03:08:44）
